The answer that I think would be both “yes” or “no” depending on the person, connection, and their history of dating. There are over 7 billion people in the world and they all had have difference story and experience, both good and bad.

The technology: Before there was internet and others gadget, people goes out and meet other people. It was simple then. It could be dance club, events, and work meeting etc… It was a normal everyday things that people do. After the internet became a big part of our lives, we end up doing just that to play around and setting up fake profile and prank someone. So mean.

Time: When someone who spent a long times for “being single” for some reason. We start to get use to it and have little or no interests in someone and when that happened we start to feel no need to date someone but when we do finally want to try to get into it, we would be clueless about how people date and where to meet.

Fear: People hate getting rejection or feel that the person they want is “Out of my league”. That when we need “co-worker”, “friends or family members” to help or to give us a push, as well as “setting up blind date”. It old school but it worked.

Age: We can now live a longer life than over 30 or 50 years ago. We also feel younger than our own age. We sometimes forget our own age for the moments because of that longer life. Thank to the doctor/scientist and other health expert that we are now “living longer life” and then, when we try to look for the type of people that we would like to date. We be wondering “How old are you, really?” because lately, the people do kind of look younger/older than they actually look. It really depend on how well we can take care of ourselves or just “born lucky” to look the way we do.
